That's it - there is no more!

The final TFF points have now been updated and another season bites the dust. Congratulations to all the winners, be they weekly, monthly, cup or even Andy Luckhurst, the £50K winner. Also, well done to all those who won private super leagues.

Of course, the summer TFC competition is in full swing and we will continue to support that game with nightly scorecard updates. However, next season's TFF is another matter. As things currently stand, I cannot be sure that this site will be continuing beyond the end of the cricket season. More news later in the summer, but in the meantime, why not visit our shop next time you want something from Amazon.

Have a good summer.

Cricket stats progress

The 2009 TFC season is well and truly under way and once again this site is providing nightly updates of player points. These are checked the following day when the official site updates. So far there has only been one small issue which came to light on day 2 of the season. They have reverted the calculation of bowler run penalties back to the method used in 2007. This treats each day's performance as a separate entity and doesn't count any odd runs conceded in the previous day. The pretend stats for the first three weeks of the county season will unfortunately remain with the odd point or so discrepancy, but that's hardly important in the overall scheme. Of more importance is the fact that the FPT bonus calculations do not appear to have changed as there were no issues reported after Sunday's play.

To further explain the run penalties calculation, take this example: If a bowler concedes 14 runs on day 1 and 23 runs when the innings completes on day 2 then he would score -2 and -4 points rather that the -7 points that conceding 37 runs in one go would accrue.
