TFC2007 - The End
The final player points have been confirmed as all correct. We hope everyone enjoyed playing the competition this year and we hope to be back supporting it again in 2008. Special congratulations to Mr Liam Buckley, the overall winner.

TFF Superleagues - deadline looming
Well the cricket season is finally over, so there's now no excuse for not focusing on the football. One task that may have been put off is entering teams into your superleagues. In the past this has been possible up to the end of the year, BUT NOT THIS YEAR. The deadline for adding teams to a TFF superleague is midnight at the end of October 1st. That's just one week away.

Pro40 Play-off game - the permutations
The Pro40 competition finishes this weekend, apart from the small matter of the 3rd vs 3rd bottom play-off which is the last match of the TFC competition. So, if you have the odd transfer remaining, which teams might you consider for the extra match?
Division 1: Three teams remain in contention, but the position will be decided by the result of just one match. If Northants win then Gloucestershire will contest the play-off. If it is a tie or a no result (please don't let rain ruin this end of the competition too) then Northants will stay in the third from bottom place. If Essex win then they will travel to division 2's third place team (assuming that there is no way that Gloucestershire's superior net run rate can be overhauled).
Division 2: Again three teams are battling to host the play-off. Kent must sit and watch, hoping neither Surrey nor Middlesex win their matches. If they don't, Canterbury will host the play-off. If Middlesex triumph at title chasing Somerset and Surrey don't win then it will be in North London, while if Surrey win at Leicester and Middlesex don't win the match will be in South London. If both sides win then net run rate will come into play with Middlesex currently in a slightly better position, but it's close enough to go either way should either victory margin be emphatic.

Week 18 Points update
In one of those annoying little quirks of the PA, Glamorgan's M Davies (728) became MA Davies at the beginning of the match last week, then reverted back to just M Davies half way through. This meant that he didn't get his -5 points from the last day. All other scores are confirmed ok, and the column is in black on the TFC 2007 points page.
Today is the start of week 19 of 20 in all. I have a ticket for tonights Pro40 match at the Oval, so the update tonight will not happen until very late (maybe even tomorrow). Normal service will be resumed after that.

New Players and Club Transfers
The player points page for TFF 2007-2008 now includes all the new players added and club transfers effected at the end of the August transfer window. Hopefully there should now be some stability to the stats until the end of the year.
Whilst talking about transfers, I hope no-one has been trigger happy since September 2nd. Whilst this weeks password is displayed above for completeness, you really shouldn't be contemplating any transfers until at least the end of the internationals.
Why not settle down with a good book and leave your teams alone. Did you buy Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but haven't had a chance to read it yet? Or there's our favourite read here at Bramernic Mansions, Freak of Nature by Phil Whitaker.
Or, of course, you might be playing fantasy cricket where the season is reaching it's climax. Good luck if you're in with a chance of a prize in your super league, or even the overall game.

Scorecards are doing my head in!
Not content with regularly displaying incomplete scorecards, today Sporting Life decided to omit most of todays games from their summary page, but to keep one of yesterdays finishes as if there had been play today. I've now run the update, and hopefully all the matches were included, but if anyone notices a problem, please contact me.
