TFC Points status after week 3

Week 3 points have been confirmed ok apart from two Somerset bowlers. Willoughby scored 1 fewer point and Turner 1 more point on the last day of the championship match with Glos. My best guess is that the scorers attributed an over to the wrong bowler on day 3, but it doesn't seem worth losing too much sleep over.

Scorecard - missing innings!

It's been bought to my attention that the scorecard for Lancs v Scotland on Sunday was missing the entire Lancashire batting innings. I'm not sure what happened there, but the figures have now been added in. Sorry for any confusion.

Extra Rest Day and other news

England's humiliation of the West Indies means that tomorrow is now a rest day for TFC purposes. The transfer deadline has been removed from the box above as it has no relevance now.

Meanwhile, in the Friends Provident competition, Glamorgan and Northants have become the first counties with no possibility of making the semi-finals. Their blue squares have been removed from the fixture grid for June 20th and August 18th. Other counties will follow as and when their fate is sealed.

Cricketer name changes

The PA are at it again. DB Powell (West Indies) has now become DBL Powell which meant that his point from yesterday was missed off last night's update. More worryingly, Yorkshire's Younis Khan has now become Younus Khan midway through the match with Durham! His 5 points from yesterday were also missing last night. Both errors have now been corrected.

New Players for TFC

Hats of to the guys at the Telegraph, they've now added in all the players who have appeared for a county since the game started. These players have now been added to the tables on this site and their scores over the first 5 weeks of the season are shown in green for research purposes. Because they were added today, only part of their score in week 6 will be included in the CT column.

234 KJ Coetzer (Durham) 3
235 MC Rosenberg (Leics) 3

Telegraph website problems

Update just in:

Link received direct from Ian at the Telegraph which he's asked me to post: (You need to paste both lines as one without the return in the middle)

http://tcrk.gfm.co.uk/cgi-bin/TELP_regn_0001.cgi?x=&p_game_code=CRIC2007
&p_sub_code=&p_referer=&t=200705210940341231812318

You just need to log in with your game codes at the top of the screen and it will take you to your managers office.

I've tried it and it does work, though it is a bit slow as it's still timing out on access to the ads server.

Original post:
According to page 2 of this mornings Daily Telegraph, their website was down most of yesterday but it should be back to normal today. I can't get in this morning, though others say they can but the site is extremely slow. If all you want to do is check on how your TFC team is doing, the provisional points are live on this site via the TFC2007 button to the left. Week 2 points were verified up to Thursday on the midweek points update.

Let's hope it's all back up soon with another 50-over game scheduled to start this afternoon. See the blue box above for details of daily first start times.

Week 40 KC and MotM (2nd Half week 15)

And so the season comes to an end with possibly the most boring FA Cup final for a while. There's absolutely no debate about the only goal, it will have a KC. We'll probably have to wait until Monday for the MotM, which will keep a few superleague contenders on tenterhooks.

Chelsea 1-0 Man United
Drogba (Lampard)

MotM: Mikel (Chelsea)

See you all again in August, unless of course you are playing TFC, where normal service continues throughout the summer.

TFC Week 1 confirmed - all correct

Thanks in part to the earlier correction (Langer/White), the provisional scores for week 1 have been confirmed 100% correct this afternoon.

Score Correction - J Langer/C White

The first score correction of the season has been spotted. The wicket of Northants D Jacobs in the first innings was originally credited as caught by C White, then changed to J Langer. Thus Langer now has 5 more and White 5 fewer points than first published.

TFC2007 starts tomorrow

The "let's pretend" stage of the season is now over and the battle commences in earnest tomorrow with the first day of Northants vs Somerset in the Liverpool Victoria County Championship. All the points from the first three weeks of the season are now available as if the game had started on day 1, and there's a couple of new sortable columns to help you decide who to pick. PPR is the overall points per rating value, while PPR4 is the points per rating value over the last 4 weeks (will make more sense once week 5 starts). Hover over any of the less obvious headings to get a description.

TFC 2007 is here

Once again we will be providing support for the summer cricket game. You can check out which counties are playing each day on the fixture grid. The points pages will be updated each evening throughout the season with the predicted points for each player. These will be verifed whenever the official site is updated. There are three extra week columns labeled A, B and C which contain the theoretical scores from the first three weeks of the season. Scores for players before they enter the game will be shown in green, provisional scores in red and verified scores in black.

Archives of past seasons

The left hand column now only has buttons for the current season and previous seasons points pages. The older files are now accessible via the Archives button.
