Carling Cup Complications and a new fixture

The full effects of the fog bound night at Anfield in the week before Christmas are now reflected in the fixture grid. The situation is as follows: If Liverpool and Arsenal draw their FA Cup 3rd round tie, the rearranged Carling Cup quarter final would have to be moved to the date of the first leg of the semi-final. The second leg of the semi final would then displace Premiership matches on 30/31 January. The matches in jeopardy are those involving either Liverpool or Arsenal, and Tottenham. Of course if one set of reds triumphs on January 6th then the Carling Cup match can occupy the FA Cup replay slot and there won't be any further ramifications.

Meanwhile, the game involving Blackburn and Watford which was postponed because of conflicting UEFA Cup and Sky TV commitments has now been rearranged for January 23rd.

Seasons Greetings

May we take this opportunity to wish all visitors to this site a very merry Christmas, and of course, a profitable FF new year!

While writing, have you visited our site resources yet? In the Links box on the right is a section with pages that we generate to help with FF planning. It has our fixture grid to spot those potential 3 for 0, 4 for 1 etc transfer opportunities. There's also a similar one for county cricket which will be filled in in the new year for 2007.

Finally, our latest addition is a revamp of the FISO Injury Table. When you access the page it loads the entire table from FISO and formats it in the same way as our points pages. You can then sort and filter just like the points, meaning that there are more variations than on the FISO site. The time you load the page is displayed in the top right corner so you can refresh it if you find yourself looking at day old data.
